How inspectors are ordered

Each inspector gets a score out of 100: distance from Eumundi counts for 45, verified reviews for 35 and how complete the listing is for 20. A listing counts as more complete when the inspector has confirmed it, its licence status was checked in the last 90 days, and a phone or website is added. A verified review is one from a homeowner who booked the inspector through PoolPreCert; with no reviews a listing scores neutral, and a few reviews only move it a little. Paying doesn't change this order. Sponsored listings, if any, are shown separately and labelled. Google ratings shown on a listing come straight from Google Maps, for inspectors who have linked their Google listing, and are not part of the score.

Pool rules and next steps for Eumundi

Eumundi is in the Sunshine Coast Regional council area. Its page asks people with a concern about a pool to notify the council, and points to QBCC's search for a pool safety inspector. Council page: Sunshine Coast Council: Swimming pools (council page opened 23 October 2026). The rules themselves are the Queensland pool safety standard, which applies in every council area; see council pool inspections and fines.

Where the inspectors listed here are based

What to ask before you book an inspector

  • Is your pool safety inspector licence current on QBCC's register today?
  • What is the fee, and is a re-inspection included if something needs attention?
  • If you find something that needs fixing, will you give me a nonconformity notice (Form 26) that lists it?

These are questions, not a verdict on anyone. Only a licensed pool safety inspector decides whether a pool barrier meets the standard.

Guides to read first

Before the inspector comes

These are some of the main things an inspector checks. Look at them yourself, or run the full self-check in the PoolPreCert app.

  • Every pool gate swings shut by itself from any open position and latches without a push.
  • The barrier is at least 1200 mm high all the way around, with no gap under it bigger than 100 mm.
  • Nothing a child could climb (chairs, pots, barbecues, trees) is within 900 mm of the outside of the fence.
  • No door from the house opens straight into the pool area.
  • A current CPR sign is displayed where people near the pool can see it.
