Ask an inspector for an inspection and follow it up

For: Pool owners · Last updated 22 October 2026

A request is a message from you to a listed business, with your contact details and, if you choose, your self-check report.

Who it is for: Pool owners.

How to do it

  1. Right after a self-check, use the sheet that opens (see Before you book an inspector). Otherwise open a listing in the directory, or use the button on your self-check results, and choose the request button.
  2. Check your details and write a short message, such as when you are home.
  3. Tick Send my latest self-check report with this request only if you want the business to see it.
  4. Press Send request. The business sees it in its Requests inbox.
  5. Open Requests in your account to see the status as the business updates it. You can withdraw a request at any time.
  6. When the job is done you get one email invitation, and a Review now button on your Requests page. Reviews are optional.

If you withdraw

Your details and your report are no longer available to the business.

What it does not do

  • Sending a request does not book a time. The business contacts you.
  • No fee is charged for sending a request.
  • It is not an inspection and it does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.

PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
