Find a pool safety inspector in the directory
For: Pool owners, Property managers and agencies · Last updated 30 October 2026
The directory lists Queensland pool safety inspectors by council area and suburb, with the areas they cover, their licence status and verified reviews.
Who it is for: Pool owners, landlords and property managers who need an inspector.
How to do it
- Open the Find an inspector page from the website menu and choose your council area, or search for your suburb, postcode or council name (for example Gold Coast). You can also press Use my location.
- Open a listing to see the business, the areas it covers, its licence status with the date it was last checked, and its reviews. A list card shows a Covers line (the councils or travel distance the business set when it claimed its listing) or an Advertises line (areas taken from the business's own website) only when we hold one; otherwise it shows nothing.
- If the inspector accepts requests, press the request button, add a few words and send it. If not, use the phone number or website on the listing, or press Find phone and website on Google, which opens a Google search in a new tab.
- You can always check an inspector on the official QBCC search as well.
How listings are ordered
Listings are ordered by distance, by verified reviews (from homeowners who booked through PoolPreCert) and by how complete the profile is. Paying never changes the order, and any sponsored place is labelled and kept separate.
If your suburb has no page yet
Search still tells you where to go. For a Queensland suburb we do not have a page for, it names the council it is in and links the nearest suburbs that do have a page. If you misspell a name it suggests the closest suburb, and for a place outside Queensland it says so, because each state keeps its own inspector register.
Licence status
Inspectors in the directory were on QBCC's public register (extract of August 2024), and licences renew yearly. That sentence is shown once above each list, and a listing shows its own date only when its licence status was checked. Licence status is shown with the date it was last checked. PoolPreCert does not promise a licence is still current after that date, so check the QBCC register before you rely on it.
What it does not do
- The directory does not book or guarantee an inspection time.
- It does not recommend one inspector over another.
Common questions
Why is an inspector not listed?
Not every inspector has a listing yet. Use the QBCC inspector search to find any licensed inspector.
PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
