Working with no signal (offline mode)

For: Pool safety inspectors · Last updated 16 October 2026

An inspector can open a checklist, lose signal, keep working, and close and reopen the installed app with no signal. Answers and photos wait on the phone and upload when you are back online.

Who it is for: Inspectors using the app on a phone. Add the app to your home screen for the best result.

How to do it

  1. While you still have signal, open the inspection checklist once. That saves a copy on your phone.
  2. Work as normal. You will see Saved on this phone, will upload when you are online.
  3. If you reopen the app with no signal, open the checklist from the Saved on this phone list.
  4. When signal returns, wait a few seconds. Answers upload first, then photos, oldest first.

If something cannot be kept

If the phone has no room or blocks storage, the screen says it was NOT saved and does not move on.

Newer answers win

If someone else gave a newer answer to the same question, the newer one is kept and your phone tells you.

What it does not do

  • The first install and first open of a checklist need a connection.
  • Gate videos and the AI photo check need a connection.

PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
