The Requests inbox

Requests from your listing arrive in the Requests inbox on paid plans and the trial. Contractors and builders also receive quote requests here.

Who it is for: Anyone in a business account who answers enquiries. Viewers can read but not change.

How to do it

1. Open Requests. Use Filter requests to narrow the list.
2. Open a request to read the homeowner's message and contact details.
3. If the homeowner chose to share their self-check, an Open self-check report button appears while the request is active.
4. Reply by phone or email, or use the Call, Text and Directions buttons. In a contractor or builder inbox the message comes first, then the Call button (Email if there is no number), and Text, Reply, the status buttons, Build a quote for this request, Save as customer and Add to schedule sit under More.
5. Update the status so the homeowner can see where it is up to.
6. Use Looked after by and the team note to tell colleagues who has it. Only your own team sees these.
7. Turn the request into a job in the schedule, or for a quote request press Build a quote for this request.
8. Once you mark a job done, the homeowner is invited to leave a verified review.

What it does not do

• Opening a self-check report is not an inspection.
• No fee is charged per request.
• If a homeowner withdraws a request, their details and report are no longer available.
