Build a pool fence quote with the quote builder
For: Pool fence contractors · Last updated 16 October 2026
The quote builder turns a few answers about the job into a priced quote using your own price list. The quote is created in your accounting software, which numbers it and can email it.
Who it is for: Pool fence contractor accounts. Add your prices first, as the builder uses them.
How to do it
- Fill in your Price list first (see the Price list article).
- Open Quote builder and enter the customer name, phone and email, and the Job site (suburb or address). From a request, press Build a quote for this request to fill these in.
- Choose the Fence type and enter the Metres of fence, then the Gates, Corners, Hardware and Labour.
- Check Your quote: the Subtotal is shown ex GST. Add a Quote heading if you want one.
- Use Offer options to build Good, Better and Best versions. Each option becomes its own quote so the customer accepts one.
- Create the quote in Xero. Your accounting software applies GST.
- Use Materials list for a supplier to get a list with no prices and no labour to send to a supplier for a quote.

What it does not do
- PoolPreCert never works out GST. Your accounting software does.
- The builder does not say a fence meets the QBCC standard. It prices what you enter.
Common questions
It says the quote builder isn't switched on yet.
That message shows until the feature is set up for your account. Email support@poolprecert.com.
PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
