Notifications and emails
For: Everyone · Last updated 30 October 2026
PoolPreCert tells you about things in the app, and sends some emails. Emails about requests sent to you always arrive.
Who it is for: Everyone.
How to do it
- Open the notification bell. Notices are grouped by day. Press one to open the exact item, which also marks it read.
- Use the unread filter, and mark a notice read or unread.
- Open Settings, then Notifications to turn off the optional emails: setup tips while you finish your listing and a monthly summary.
Emails sent for you
Customers can get a booking confirmation and a day-before reminder from the schedule, and one reminder for quotes or invoices if you switch follow-ups on. A repeating job sends no reminder for its visits unless you tick that box for that repeat. Each of these emails says "Sent by PoolPreCert for {your business name}" and has a one-click unsubscribe link, so your customers can stop emails sent through PoolPreCert. Once someone unsubscribes, PoolPreCert will not send them these emails again, whichever business they come from. Emails are signed PoolPreCert team.
What it does not do
- A new request does not email your business. It shows as a notice in the app.
PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
