List your building certifier business

For: Everyone · Last updated 30 October 2026

Building certifiers sign off new pool builds. You can ask to be listed on the Building certifiers page. There is no charge and you do not need an account. A person at PoolPreCert checks your licence number on QBCC's public search before anything is shown.

Who it is for: Building certifiers, or someone who acts for one. Pool safety inspectors, pool fence contractors and pool builders use their own listings instead.

How to do it

  1. Open Register as a building certifier (from the Building certifiers page, the For building certifiers page or the For pool builders page).
  2. Enter your business name, your QBCC licence number as it shows on your licence, and your licence level if you want it shown. Choose the councils you work in, or tick All of Queensland.
  3. Enter your contact email. Add a phone number and website if you want to, then tick only the ones you want shown on your listing. Your email is not shown unless you tick it.
  4. Tick the box to confirm you are a QBCC-licensed building certifier or act for one, then press Register.
  5. Check your email. We send one message with a private link to your registration page. Keep it: the link is the only way in, so do not forward it.
  6. Wait for our check. The page says Pending until a person has looked up your licence number on QBCC's public search. We email you when we have decided.
  7. Open your private link at any time to change what you publish (Save changes), hide your listing (Hide my listing), show it again (Show my listing again) or delete your registration (Delete my registration).

What a listing shows

Your business name, your licence number as you entered it, the date we checked it on QBCC's public search, where you work and a link to QBCC's search. Your phone, website and email show only if you ticked them.

Listings are in alphabetical order. There are no reviews, ratings, prices, street addresses or paid places, and a listing is not an endorsement.

If you change your details

If you change your business name, licence number or licence level, a person checks it again and your listing stops showing until they have. Other changes, such as a new phone number, apply straight away.

Email

We email you about your registration only: one when you register and one when we have decided. We do not send newsletters or offers, and nobody at PoolPreCert contacts certifiers to ask them to register.

What it does not do

  • It does not list you until a person has checked your licence number on QBCC's public search.
  • It does not say you are recommended, rated or ranked, and there are no reviews or prices.
  • It does not copy anything from QBCC's register. You enter your own details.

Common questions

I lost my email with the private link.

Reply to a message from us or use the contact form with your licence number and we can look into it. We cannot send the link again from the website.

Can I register more than one business?

Yes. Register each one with its own licence number and contact email.

PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
