Getting started with PoolPreCert
For: Everyone · Last updated 16 October 2026
PoolPreCert has a menu down the left on a computer and along the bottom on a phone. What you see depends on your account type and your role.
Who it is for: Everyone. Pool owners see Home, My pools, Checks, To-do, Inspectors and quotes, Certificates and Settings. Inspectors, agencies, pool fence contractors and pool builders see business tools.
How to do it
- Sign in and look at the dashboard. The set-up list on it shows the next useful step, with a progress ring.
- Use the round add button to add a customer, property, job or request quickly.
- Use Find anything (the search box or the search shortcut) to search the whole app.
- Open the notification bell for notices. Each one opens the exact item.
- Open Help from the menu, or the ? button on a page, for the article about that screen.
Roles
Owners have full control and billing. Admins manage people and settings. Inspectors do inspections and create documents. Viewers can look but not change.
Today
Inspector and agency dashboards show a live strip (invoiced this month, jobs booked, new requests) and a Today card with a route for the day. Pins on the route are placed by suburb, and Navigate opens Google Maps.
What it does not do
- PoolPreCert is a tool for doing and recording your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the standard and does not issue certificates.
PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
