Hours, days off, travel time and calendar link

For: Pool safety inspectors, Pool fence contractors, Pool builders · Last updated 30 October 2026

Hours and days off tells the schedule when you work. The schedule uses it for clashes, best order and the times customers can ask for.

Who it is for: Everyone sets their own hours. Owners and admins set anyone's.

How to do it

  1. Open Schedule, then Hours and days off.
  2. Choose your Working days and the Start and Finish times, then press Save hours. Press Use the business hours instead to go back.
  3. Add holidays and leave with Add day off.
  4. Set Travel time between jobs, from 0 to 120 minutes. This is the gap left between jobs when you change the order of a day or move a day.
  5. On the Schedule board, wide columns and the person's day sheet show about 10 min between jobs, and a day with two or more jobs shows about 24 km under its total. These are worked out from the middle of each suburb in a straight line with an allowance for roads, so they are only a guide. When we do not know a suburb, nothing is shown.
  6. Set Book ahead (weeks), from 9 to 52. This is how far ahead repeating jobs are booked as real jobs. Later dates show as Planned.
  7. Under Calendar link press Make a calendar link, then Open in your calendar app. Press Stop this link to cancel it. Booked jobs show as normal events. Dates from your repeating jobs that are not booked yet show as tentative events with a title that starts with Planned:, and they do not block your time.

What it does not do

  • Working outside your hours is still allowed. The schedule warns, never blocks.
  • Your calendar app decides how often it refreshes the link, so a change can take a while to show.

PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
