Smoke alarm dates (agency accounts only)
For: Property managers and agencies · Last updated 16 October 2026
Accounts set up as a real estate agency or property manager get a Smoke alarms tab on the Certificates page. It keeps a date for each property and sends an email reminder to your team.
Who it is for: Agency accounts only. Inspectors, contractors, builders and pool owners do not see it.
How to do it
- Owners: open Settings, then Business and branding, and turn on We are an agency or property manager. (Accounts created as a real estate agency already have it on.)
- Open Certificates and choose the Smoke alarms tab.
- Record the dates for each property.
- Your team gets an email reminder 30 days before each tenancy, or on a date you choose.
What it does not do
- PoolPreCert does not check or test smoke alarms and does not say whether an alarm meets any rule. It keeps your dates and reminds you.
PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
