Link your inspector and trade listings
For: Pool safety inspectors, Pool fence contractors, Pool builders · Last updated 5 November 2026
If your business has claimed a pool safety inspector listing and also a pool fence contractor or pool builder listing, you can link them. Each public profile then shows one small line, such as "This business is also a pool safety inspector", with a link to the other profile. It is your choice, it is off until you tick it and there is no charge.
Who it is for: Owners and admins of a business that has claimed both an inspector listing and a pool fence contractor or pool builder listing.
How to do it
- Open Your listing (Directory listing for a pool fence contractor or pool builder). The Link my other listings box appears only when your business has claimed both kinds of listing. If you have only claimed one, claim the other first.
- Read the list in the box. It shows each of your claimed listings and whether the line is showing for it.
- Tick Link my other listings and press Save. The page tells you it has saved.
- Open one of your public profiles. Under the licence details you will see the line, with the kind of listing as a link to the other profile.
- To stop it, untick the box and press Save. The line goes from both profiles.
When the line shows
The line shows only while all of these are true. The moment one stops being true, the line goes by itself and comes back when it is true again.
- Both listings are claimed by the same business account.
- Both listings are visible in the directory (not hidden by you or by PoolPreCert).
- Neither licence is shown as lapsed or not found on our record.
- The box is ticked.
What linking does not change
Nothing is merged. Each listing keeps its own details, its own reviews and its own place in lists, and linking does not move you up or down. Reviews left on one listing are never shown on the other.
What it does not do
- It does not merge your listings or share reviews between them.
- It does not change where either listing appears in lists or search.
- It does not check or confirm a licence. Licences are checked on QBCC's public search.
Common questions
Why can't I see the box?
It shows only when your business account has claimed both a pool safety inspector listing and a pool fence contractor or pool builder listing. A claim that is still waiting for review does not count.
The line has gone from my profile. Why?
One of the listings is probably hidden, or its licence is no longer current on our record. Check the list in the Link my other listings box: it says which listing is off and why.
Can another business link to mine?
No. A link only ever joins two listings claimed by the same business account.

PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
