Admin tools (PoolPreCert administrators)

For: Site admins · Last updated 16 October 2026

Admin is only for PoolPreCert administrators. Business and pool owner accounts do not see it.

Who it is for: PoolPreCert administrators.

How to do it

  1. Open Admin. The menu includes Claims, Directory, Call sheet, Reviews, Plans, Users, Suppliers, Messages, Compliance, Concierge, Security, Launch, Guide and System.
  2. Claims: check and approve or reject listing claims.
  3. Directory listings: open Directory, then Directory listings, to search every inspector and trade listing and filter by service, council, claimed, hidden, phone, email, website or needs a human check. Open a listing to see it at a glance and to show or hide it (a hide needs a reason and is never a delete).
  4. Find this business: on a listing, five links open Google, QBCC, ABN Lookup, Yellow Pages and Facebook in a new tab with the name and suburb already typed in. On an unclaimed listing you can record what you found, but only with the address of a public page the business publishes and the date you found it. The public page then shows the details as checked on that date and not yet confirmed by the business.
  5. Call sheet: a work list for phoning listed businesses, with a Call button, an outcome (called, no answer, interested, not interested, wrong number or do not call), a callback date, notes and a done tick. After a phone yes, Email onboarding link sends the business one email with its personal claim link; it needs a recorded tick that they agreed on the phone. Do not call is permanent until an administrator removes it: it stops emails to that business and stops a claim link being made for it. A CSV of the filtered list can be downloaded.
  6. Regions: turn a council or a suburb page on or off. Nothing is deleted.
  7. Website updates: a change made in Admin shows on the public site straight away or within about 15 minutes, and the Directory pages can be refreshed on demand from the bottom of Listings and Regions. Things that need a developer are listed in the Guide.
  8. Guide: the Guide menu item explains each Admin screen in plain steps, including what not to do.
  9. Reviews: a review is hidden only for a recorded rule reason.
  10. Concierge: choose an agency and upload its first export on its behalf with the same checks as the import wizard.
  11. Launch: switch the site between Open to everyone, Soft launch (sign-up closed, website open) and the Full wall, with no redeploy. Opening asks you to confirm a short list first.
  12. Security: add an authenticator app for two-step sign-in when it has been switched on for the site. Until then it explains how.

What it does not do

  • Admin tools are not available to businesses. A business's details need a public page as the source (not a Google results page), and only QBCC decides a licence. Two-step sign-in does not lock an administrator out if its service is unavailable.

PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
