A photo or file will not upload

For: Everyone · Last updated 16 October 2026

Most upload problems are the file type, the file size or the connection.

Who it is for: Anyone adding photos or files.

How to do it

  1. Check your signal. Photos taken without signal wait on the phone and upload later on their own.
  2. On an iPhone set the camera to Most compatible so photos are JPEG. HEIC photos cannot be checked by the AI photo check.
  3. Try a smaller photo or file, and try again.
  4. For a CSV, save it as CSV (comma separated) from your spreadsheet and try again.
  5. For a gate video, press Record video to film it in the app, or choose an MP4, M4V, MOV, WebM, 3GP, MKV, AVI or MTS file of up to 60 seconds and 50 MB. Big clips are made smaller on your phone first, uploads show progress and try again by themselves, and Try again keeps the clip.
  6. Demo workspaces block uploads on purpose, and videos are switched off in demos.

What it does not do

  • Do not send passwords or card numbers when you contact support.

PoolPreCert helps you do and record your work. It does not decide whether a pool meets the Queensland standard. Only a licensed pool safety inspector does that.
