Check your pool barrier
A short checklist for a Queensland pool barrier. You don't need an account to answer it. When you're done, you create an account to see your results. It spots things to look at before an inspection. It isn't a pool safety certificate, and only a licensed inspector can decide whether a barrier meets the standard.
Is the barrier at least 1200mm high everywhere around the pool?
Your pool fence needs to be at least 1.2 metres tall at every point, measured from the ground on the outside.
How to check this
Measure from the ground on the outside of the fence to the top of the barrier. Check the lowest points: where the ground rises, near garden beds, and on steps.
Hold a tape measure vertically against the fence on the OUTSIDE. Measure from the finished ground (not a garden bed edge) to the top rail or top of the glass. Record the lowest reading.
